I was half of A B-ewe-tiful Design for 7 years, then I was all of A B-ewe-tiful Design for 3 more. Our logo had two sheep, each knitting fleece off of the others leg. That logo represented my mom and me. The designs, at least at the beginning, were created to supplement classes we taught.
Since my mom has retired a few years ago, I took the opportunity to refocus. That old name and logo just didn’t fit now.
You may ask “Why The Bean Knits?”. Probably every Jill has been called Jillybean at least once. Some may like the nickname; I hate it. The first time my boyfriend (now husband) called me Jillybean, I cringed. He never used that nickname again. He did start calling me Bean. I’ll walk into a room and he’ll joyously state “The Bean”. I don’t know why, but it feels right.
I’m really excited to see The Bean Knits grow and evolve. I hope you’ll come along with me.
